WARNERS BAY- A SUBURB OF LAKE MACQUARIE, RIGHT ON THE LAKE.
The Warners Bay Mens Club was formed on the 1st of May 1984. It was from an interest meeting convened by the Rotary Club of Warners Bay and chaired by that Club's President Frank Marples.
Several members from Toronto and Newcastle Probus Clubs also attended giving an introduction to Probus and accounts of the functions of their respective Clubs.
From the 15 prospective members present they determined that the Mens Probus Club of Warners Bay be formed. A draft Constitution was adpoted, fees were set and a committee elected.
The Committee in May 1984 being:-
President: Perce Fry
V. President: Peter Mead
Secretary: Bill Jackson
Treasurer: John Rogers
Committee Members: Cec Graham, Wilson Cree and Alan Irwin.
There are now 53 active members in the club. Our retired and semi-retired members experience many social outings and a vast array of activities, from this we enjoy fun, fellowship and making new friends and acquaintances.
Meetings are held on the First Tuesday of each Month at the Lions Club, Warners Bay at 9.30 am . Sweet St Warners Bay 2282. 9:30am until approximatley 12.30pm. We are entertained and informed through a programme of guest speakers.
